On boys, connection, and the society we are building together.

Why I Started Project Ibasho
I won’t always be here to put my arms around my sons when they need it. But I want to create a society that will.
I am talking about real community — not the word, but the feeling. People who know how to connect. Who can see something from another person’s point of view. Who can repair a relationship when it breaks. People who have the skills to make someone else feel truly seen.
I believe we can get there — because I sense that people are longing for it. Many of us look at the state of the world and feel despair. We don’t know what to do. But those of us who want health and connection can come together to create it. We can choose a different path.
That is the world I am building toward. Not a program. Not a policy. A society where people know how to be with each other.
